Procrastination majorly occurs in 2 Stages.
1. Avoidance – impulse to delay. Various triggers can be negative mood, anticipated stress for the task, discomfort, fear, insufficient know-how.
2. Reassurance – you tell yourself ‘Later is better’, ‘Not enough time’, or you simply slip away into another activity like daydreaming, napping, phone chatting.
SIDE NOTE: – What do you usually tell yourself to justify your procrastination at the point of reassurance?
– What activities do you usually engage in when you procrastinate?
